Key Responsibilities:

  1. Station Operations:
    • Supervise the daily operations of the gas station, including fuel dispensing, convenience store management, and car wash services if applicable.
    • Ensure that all equipment and pumps are functioning properly and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
    • Monitor and enforce safety and cleanliness standards throughout the station.
  2. Staff Management:
    • Hire, train, and supervise gas station attendants and other staff, ensuring they follow company policies and provide excellent customer service.
    • Schedule shifts, manage staff performance, and handle any personnel issues or conflicts.
    • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training to ensure staff competency and motivation.
  3. Customer Service:
    • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
    • Ensure that all staff members deliver high-quality customer service, including assisting with fuel purchases, convenience store transactions, and other services.
    • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for customers.
  4. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels of fuel, convenience store products, and other supplies.
    • Order and restock items as needed, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Oversee cash handling procedures, including managing the cash register, balancing cash drawers, and ensuring accurate financial transactions.
    • Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including sales, expenses, and inventory.
    • Implement and enforce policies related to pricing, promotions, and discounts.
  6. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure that the gas station complies with all local, state, and federal regulations related to fuel dispensing, safety, and environmental protection.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
    • Manage and report any incidents, accidents, or safety violations in accordance with company protocols.
  7. Maintenance and Upkeep:
    • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the gas station premises, including the fuel pumps, convenience store, restrooms, and exterior areas.
    • Coordinate with maintenance personnel or contractors for repairs and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
  8. Reporting and Communication:
    • Provide regular reports to upper management on station performance, including sales, inventory, staffing, and any operational issues.
    • Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and staff to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in business management, retail management, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in retail or gas station management is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent customer service abilities, and proficiency in financial management and inventory control. Ability to operate and maintain fuel dispensing equipment.
