Key Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation:
  • Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring tools and materials are readily available.
• Material Handling:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment as directed.
  • Organize and store materials safely to prevent damage and ensure easy access.
• Assisting Skilled Trades:
  • Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople with their tasks, including holding materials, mixing concrete, and measuring.
• General Labour:
  • Perform various manual tasks, such as digging, lifting, and carrying, to aid in construction activities.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on-site.
  • Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.

Tasks

• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Assist in demolishing buildings
• Perform routine maintenance work
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
