Key Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation:
  • Assist with preparing construction sites, including clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and laying out materials.
  • Follow plans and blueprints to ensure accurate construction.
• Material Handling:
  • Load and unload construction materials and tools as directed.
  • Transport materials to different locations on the job site.
• General Labour:
  • Perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
  • Operate basic construction equipment and tools safely.
• Assisting Skilled Trades:
  • Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople with their tasks.
  • Hold materials, mix concrete, and help with installation processes as needed.
• Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on-site.
  • Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.

Tasks

• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
• Clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
