Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Efficiently process guest arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience.
  • Reservations Management: Handle reservations via phone, email, and in-person, including modifications and cancellations.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Billing and Payments: Process payments, issue invoices, and manage cash transactions accurately.
  • Information and Assistance: Offer information about hotel services, local attractions, and transportation options to enhance guest experiences.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of guest information, room availability, and billing details.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are ready and guest requests are fulfilled.
  • Security Protocols: Adhere to hotel security and safety policies, including managing lost and found items.

Tasks

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  • Process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payments
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • Provide customer service

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
