We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated live-in caregiver to provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal care, daily living activities, and fostering a positive environment that promotes independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Support participation in recreational and social activities.
  • Maintain clear communication with family members and healthcare providers.
  • Document daily activities, changes in health, and any incidents.
  • Foster a respectful and supportive relationship with the client.

Tasks

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Administer medications
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
  • Change non-sterile dressings
  • Feed or assist in feeding
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide personal care
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Cook

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a caregiver, particularly with persons with disabilities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of disability-related issues and care techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting with mobility.

Working Conditions:

  • Live-in position with flexible hours.
  • May require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
