Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials and products throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of orders, and ensuring products are stored correctly in designated locations.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that products are prepared for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of materials and products to identify and report any damage or discrepancies.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse organized and clean by following safety and cleanliness protocols, including proper storage of materials and equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, material movements, and any incidents that occur within the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while operating equipment and handling materials.
Tasks
- Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
- Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products
- Wrap goods
- Pack and unpack goods
- Sort, crate and stack goods
- Organize and maintain inventory
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [insert weight]) and perform physical tasks.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
