Key Responsibilities
- Animal Care: Feed and water livestock according to established schedules and dietary requirements; monitor the health and behavior of animals to identify any signs of illness or distress.
- Housing Maintenance: Clean and maintain animal housing areas, including barns, pens, and stalls, ensuring they are sanitary and comfortable for the animals.
- Health Monitoring: Assist with health checks and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian or farm manager; report any health concerns or abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Breeding Support: Assist with breeding activities, including monitoring breeding cycles and caring for newborn animals.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of animal feed, health treatments, breeding, and inventory of supplies.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery used for feeding and caring for livestock, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Pasture Management: Assist in managing pastures and grazing areas, including rotating animals to prevent overgrazing and maintaining fences and water sources.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other farm workers and supervisors to ensure efficient livestock management and farm operations.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some knowledge of animal husbandry is beneficial.
