Key Responsibilities:
- General Cleaning Duties:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and other fixtures.
- Wipe down and disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and railings.
- Floor Care:
- Maintain different types of flooring, including carpet, tile, and hardwood, through appropriate cleaning methods.
- Strip, wax, and polish floors as required.
- Report any floor damage or hazards to the supervisor.
- Waste Management:
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
- Collect and dispose of hazardous materials following safety protocols.
- Window and Surface Cleaning:
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to ensure clarity and cleanliness.
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
- Supply Management:
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
- Attend safety training and meetings as required.

Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for long periods.
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions, including indoors and outdoors.
Work Environment:
- Building cleaners typically work in a variety of settings, including offices, schools, hospitals, and residential buildings. The role may require working evenings or weekends, depending on the facility’s cleaning schedule.
