Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance:
    • Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and public spaces.
    • Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a clean environment.
    • Vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop floors regularly to ensure cleanliness.
    • Empty trash cans and replace liners, ensuring proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
    • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and replenishing toiletries as needed.
  • Room and Bed Maintenance (if applicable):
    • Make beds and change linens, replacing dirty sheets with fresh, clean ones.
    • Fold and organize towels and linens, ensuring they are clean, neatly arranged, and stored properly.
    • Inspect rooms for any maintenance issues, such as broken items, and report them to the supervisor.
  • Inventory and Supplies Management:
    • Monitor and restock housekeeping supplies such as cleaning products, toiletries, towels, and bedding.
    • Ensure that cleaning equipment and tools are properly maintained and stored when not in use.
    • Report any shortages or damaged equipment to the supervisor or manager.
  • Safety and Hygiene Compliance:
    • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Ensure that areas are free of hazards such as spills, debris, or obstructions that could cause accidents.
  • Customer Service (if applicable):
    • Provide a high level of customer service to residents, guests, or patients by responding to cleaning requests in a timely and courteous manner.
    • Address any guest or resident concerns or requests politely, escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary.
  • Miscellaneous Tasks:
    • Assist with laundry services when required, including washing, folding, and distributing linens and clothing.
    • Help with any special cleaning or maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager.

  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings
  • Clean changing rooms and showers

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or cleaning services is an advantage but not always required.
  • Skills:
    • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, techniques, and equipment.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
    • Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to 25-50 pounds) as needed.
    • Capable of bending, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
