Key Responsibilities:
- Patrolling and Monitoring:
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including interior and exterior areas, to deter and detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, ensuring that they are functioning correctly and responding to any alerts.
- Inspect doors, windows, and other entry points to ensure they are secure.
- Access Control:
- Monitor and control access to the property, verifying the identity of individuals and issuing visitor passes as required.
- Ensure that only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry, and manage access control systems.
- Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, including fire, medical, or security breaches.
- Assist in emergency situations by providing first aid, evacuating premises, or coordinating with emergency services.
- Document and report incidents, including details of the situation, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Customer Service:
- Provide assistance and information to employees, visitors, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Address and resolve any concerns or issues related to security or safety in a calm and effective manner.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, patrols, incidents, and any irregularities observed during shifts.
- Prepare reports on security issues, incidents, and operational status for management review.
- Compliance and Training:
- Adhere to all security policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to the use of force and handling of confidential information.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on security practices and techniques.

Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
- Skills: Strong observational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Basic knowledge of security systems and procedures is beneficial.
- Certifications: Security Guard License or certification may be required depending on local regulations. First aid and CPR certification are often preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to a specified weight.
- Comfort with working in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
Working Conditions:
- Work may involve irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the security needs of the property.
- The role may involve working alone or as part of a team, and may require responding to emergency situations promptly.
