Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction and Installation:
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
    • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as frameworks, partitions, and cabinetry.
    • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand and power tools.
  • Finishing and Detailing:
    • Sand, stain, and finish surfaces to achieve desired appearance and durability.
    • Install hardware, including door handles, locks, and hinges.
    • Ensure that all work meets quality standards and adheres to building codes and regulations.
  • Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Inspect and repair damaged structures and fixtures.
    • Replace or repair broken or worn-out components, such as doors, windows, and flooring.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure tools and equipment are in good working order.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to complete projects efficiently.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and project managers to discuss project requirements and updates.
    • Provide accurate estimates and timelines for project completion.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

    • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

    • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks and lift heavy materials.
  • Certifications:
    • Valid driver’s license.
