Responsibilities:
- Supervising Cleaning Staff:
- Assigning tasks and schedules to cleaning personnel.
- Monitoring the performance of cleaning staff and providing training and guidance as needed.
- Ensuring adherence to cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Quality Control:
- Inspecting work areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Addressing any deficiencies in cleaning practices and implementing corrective actions.
- Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Maintaining inventory records and ensuring stock levels are adequate for daily operations.
- Client Communication:
- Communicating with clients or facility managers to understand cleaning needs and address any concerns or special requests.
- Providing regular updates on cleaning activities and resolving issues promptly.
- Staff Coordination:
- Coordinating with other departments or contractors to schedule cleaning activities without disrupting daily operations.
- Collaborating with maintenance staff to address repairs or maintenance needs identified during cleaning.
- Training and Development:
- Conducting training sessions for new hires on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
- Providing ongoing training to existing staff to enhance skills and maintain high cleaning standards.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintaining accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and inventory.
- Generating reports on cleaning performance, productivity, and any incidents or accidents.
Tasks
- Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
- Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment
- Assist cleaners in performing duties
- Establish work schedules
Skills and Qualifications:
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team of cleaning staff.
- Organizational Skills: Capability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and coordinate multiple cleaning assignments.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, clients, and management.
