Dishwasher Needed to work in Canada by Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Key Responsibilities:

• Dishwashing:
  • Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Wash dishes by hand when necessary, particularly for items that are too large or delicate for the dishwasher.
  • Ensure all dishes and utensils are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and free of grease or food residue.
• Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and floor.
  • Remove and dispose of trash and recycling in a timely manner.
  • Clean and sanitize dishwashing machines and other equipment according to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Support to Kitchen Staff:
  • Assist kitchen staff with retrieving and restocking clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
  • Ensure that all items are returned to their proper place after washing.
  • Help with other kitchen tasks, such as food preparation, during busy periods or as requested.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Adhere to proper food handling and hygiene practices.

Tasks

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
• Scour pots and pans
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is a plus, but on-the-job training is available.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Physical stamina and strength to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
  • Basic understanding of safety and sanitation practices.
