Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
- Oversee daily food production operations to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely completion of production runs.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all food products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products.
- Implement corrective actions for any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a positive work environment and ensure staff adherence to safety and operational procedures.
- Schedule and coordinate staff shifts to meet production demands.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices in all production activities.
- Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
- Equipment and Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Work with maintenance teams to address any equipment issues and minimize downtime.
- Ensure that equipment is properly calibrated and functioning according to specifications.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Monitor and control production costs to achieve budgetary targets.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate best practices into production processes.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quality control reports, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and any issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- years of experience in food production management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.

- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in food safety or quality management (e.g., HACCP, SQF).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.
