Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing:
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing floors, carpets, and rugs.
- Dusting furniture, fixtures, baseboards, and window sills to remove dirt and debris.
- Trash Removal:
- Emptying trash bins and disposing of waste in designated containers.
- Sorting recyclable materials and following waste disposal procedures.
- Surface Cleaning:
- Wiping down surfaces such as countertops, desks, tables, and shelves.
- Disinfecting high-touch areas including door handles, light switches, and restroom fixtures.
- Restroom Maintenance:
- Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors in restrooms.
- Refilling soap dispensers, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
- Kitchen and Breakroom Cleaning:
- Cleaning sinks, countertops, appliances, and cabinets in kitchens and breakrooms.
- Washing dishes, loading/unloading dishwashers, and organizing kitchen supplies.
- Window and Glass Cleaning:
- Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
- Ensuring streak-free and polished surfaces.
- Floor Care:
- Stripping, waxing, and buffing floors using floor waxers and other equipment.
- Applying sealant or polish to maintain floor surfaces.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitoring cleaning supplies and equipment inventory levels.
- Reporting low stock and requesting replenishment as needed.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
- Following proper cleaning protocols and using cleaning agents according to safety guidelines.
- Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintaining a safe work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in cleaning tasks to achieve high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability: Consistency in attendance and performance to ensure spaces are cleaned regularly and on schedule.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects or equipment as needed.
- Time Management: Efficient use of time to complete cleaning tasks within specified timelines.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to understand instructions and interact with supervisors or clients.
Tasks
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
- Dust furniture
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Clean and disinfect elevators
- Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items
- Provide basic information on facilities
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Clean changing rooms and showers
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns
