We are seeking an experienced welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various welding techniques and have a strong understanding of metallurgy. The welder will fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools. This position requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding tasks based on project requirements (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC welding).
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to perform welding tasks.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect and ensure welds meet company and industry standards (e.g., visual inspections, X-ray checks).
  • Follow safety guidelines and company policies when performing welding tasks.
  • Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, and other professionals on projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a welder in a similar role.
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, ARC welding methods, and various welding materials (steel, aluminum, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
  • Certification in welding techniques (e.g., AWS certification) is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational school or apprenticeship program completion preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and welding techniques.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with welding equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.

Work Environment:

  • Work in various settings including indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and various weather conditions may occur.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and wearing protective gear (e.g., gloves, helmets, goggles) is mandatory.
