Key Responsibilities
- Project Support: Assist engineers in the planning and design of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Technical Drawings: Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Site Surveys: Conduct field surveys to collect data on existing conditions, including topography, soil characteristics, and other relevant information.
- Data Analysis: Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to assist in project planning and decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs and constructions comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Quality Control: Review construction plans and documents for accuracy and completeness; assist in quality control inspections during construction.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including reports, drawings, and specifications; assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.

Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in civil engineering or related fields is advantageous; internships or co-op experience may be considered.
- Certifications: Certification as an Engineering Technician (CET) or related professional designation is a plus.
