Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Driving: Operate delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Route Planning: Plan and navigate efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured and handled properly to prevent damage.
- Delivery Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, delivery logs, and any relevant paperwork.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns during the delivery process.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to management.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and stock management, ensuring that all deliveries match the manifest.
Tasks
- Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
- Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
- Accept payment or invoices for items delivered
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Assemble, install and set-up merchandise/products
- Keep a record of items received and delivered
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- Accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences or assemblies
- Load and unload goods
- Sort packages for delivery
- Follow directions and read map
- Provide customer service
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Credentials

- Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in logistics or transportation is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related role is preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Skills:
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and operate lifting equipment.
- Proficient in using GPS and navigation tools.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
