Key Responsibilities:
- Field Operations: Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. This includes preparing fields, sowing seeds, and maintaining healthy crop growth through weeding and watering.
- Livestock Care: Help with the feeding, watering, and general care of livestock, including cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and other animals as needed. This may also involve cleaning animal pens and ensuring their living conditions are sanitary.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors, plows, and irrigation systems. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
- Maintenance Tasks: Perform general maintenance duties around the farm, including repairing fences, buildings, and equipment, as well as maintaining tools and machinery.
- Harvesting: Participate in the harvesting of crops, including the use of hand tools or machinery to gather and process agricultural products.
- Pest Control: Assist in the monitoring and management of pests and diseases affecting crops and livestock, following safety protocols for pesticide application when necessary.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of daily tasks, livestock health, crop conditions, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside other farm workers and management to complete daily tasks and achieve production goals.
