Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management: Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, ensuring they adhere to hotel standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Quality Control: Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards; address any deficiencies promptly.
  • Scheduling: Develop and manage daily cleaning schedules and assignments for housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Guest Relations: Address guest inquiries and concerns regarding housekeeping services; respond to special requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Budget Management: Assist in managing the housekeeping budget, controlling costs, and finding ways to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff attendance, inventory usage, and maintenance requests; report any issues to management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to coordinate efforts and enhance guest experiences.

  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment

  • Co-ordinate work activities with other departments

Qualifications
