Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, answering basic questions about medications, health care products, and services offered at the pharmacy.
- Prescription Preparation: Assist in preparing prescriptions by counting, measuring, and labeling medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain inventory levels by stocking shelves, checking for expired medications, and notifying pharmacists of low stock or expiration dates.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with regulations and pharmacy policies.
- Cleaning and Organization: Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and properly stocked with supplies and medications.
- Assistance with Billing: Support pharmacy staff in processing insurance claims and managing customer payments.
- Compliance: Follow all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines in handling medications and other pharmacy-related tasks.
- Other Duties: Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the pharmacist or pharmacy manager.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional coursework in pharmacy technology or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, or healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
- Certifications: Certification in pharmacy assistance or related areas may be beneficial.
