Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with Plumbing Installations and Repairs:
   • Help plumbers install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
   • Assist in installing water heaters, sinks, toilets, faucets, and other plumbing fixtures.
   • Help with troubleshooting and diagnosing plumbing problems such as leaks, clogs, or malfunctioning equipment.
2. Prepare Tools and Equipment:
   • Organize, transport, and set up plumbing tools and materials at the job site.
   • Maintain and clean tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
   • Order and pick up materials as directed by the plumber.
3. Assist with Pipe Fitting:
   • Help measure, cut, and fit pipes for installations or repairs.
   • Hold pipes in place while plumbers secure them or solder them.
   • Help with bending or threading pipes as needed for specific installations.
4. Excavation and Site Preparation:
   • Assist with digging trenches or accessing plumbing systems that require repair or replacement.
   • Help clear debris or prepare work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
   • Support the removal of old or damaged pipes and equipment.
5. Assist with Pipe Insulation:
   • Help with insulating pipes to prevent freezing or energy loss in heating and cooling systems.
   • Apply insulation around pipes and other plumbing components.
6. Support in Drain Cleaning and Maintenance:
   • Help with clearing clogged drains or sewer lines using tools such as plungers, augers, or hydro-jetting equipment.
   • Assist with maintenance work on sewage systems, septic tanks, or water filtration systems.
7. Maintain Job Site Cleanliness and Safety:
   • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
   • Dispose of waste materials, old pipes, and debris properly.
   • Follow safety protocols and use protective gear as required (gloves, goggles, etc.).
8. Assist with Testing and Inspection:
   • Help test installed plumbing systems for leaks or other issues.
   • Support the plumber in conducting pressure tests and inspections on newly installed pipes and fixtures.
9. Customer Interaction (optional):
   • In some cases, assist in customer service by explaining basic information to clients, such as how to operate plumbing systems.
   • Report any issues, concerns, or special requests from customers to the plumber.
