Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately

• Measure, mix, count, label, and record medications as needed

• Manage inventory, stock shelves, and place orders for pharmaceutical supplies

• Answer customer questions and provide basic medication information (non-clinical)

• Process insurance claims and verify prescription details

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment

• Ensure adherence to pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies

• Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and maintaining patient records

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred

• Certification (e.g., PTCB or equivalent) may be required depending on location

• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an advantage

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Good communication and customer service abilities

• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software

Tasks

• Repair, build and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear
• Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians
• Assemble or build prosthetic and orthotic appliances according to drawings, measurements and plaster casts
• Plan menus and diet for individuals or groups under direction of dietition or nutritionist
• Assist in supervising personnel who prepare and serve food
• Bill third party insurers
• Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams
• Help patients complete menus
• Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
• Assist dietitians with research in food, nutrition and food service systems
• Clean and restore ocular prostheses
• Interpret physician’s specification
• Advise patients on loss of depth perception
