Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

• Help with mobility and transfers, including using mobility aids when necessary.

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.

• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior to supervisors or healthcare professionals.

• Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.

• Support clients with shopping, appointments, and recreational activities.

• Follow care plans and maintain accurate records of services provided.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a home support worker, caregiver, or in a related field is an advantage.

• Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and home care practices.

• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion.

• Good physical stamina and ability to lift or support clients if needed.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Certification in First Aid and CPR is an asset.

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal caregiver training is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Client homes with varying levels of care needs.

• Flexible schedules, may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
