Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation:
   • Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, slicing, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
   • Measure and portion ingredients accurately.
   • Prepare simple dishes under the supervision of cooks or chefs.
2. Kitchen Maintenance:
   • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation and storage areas.
   • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using proper sanitation methods.
   • Dispose of trash and recycling properly.
3. Supporting Kitchen Operations:
   • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
   • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
   • Follow proper food safety and handling procedures.
4. Assisting Cooks and Chefs:
   • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food service.
   • Communicate effectively with team members regarding food orders and special requests.
   • Help with plating and garnishing prepared dishes.
5. Adhering to Health and Safety Standards:
   • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety guidelines.
   • Report any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate person.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not always required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and sanitation practices.
