Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Repairs:
- Helping automotive mechanics with routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Assisting in diagnosing mechanical issues and identifying parts needed for repairs.
- Vehicle Inspections:
- Assisting in inspecting vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed and identifying potential problems.
- Checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and other basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Parts and Tools Management:
- Fetching and delivering parts, tools, and equipment to mechanics as needed.
- Organizing and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Cleaning vehicles and work areas after repairs to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Performing basic maintenance tasks such as washing vehicles and maintaining shop cleanliness.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Assisting in completing repair orders and maintaining accurate records of services performed.
- Documenting parts used, labor hours, and any additional details for invoicing and warranty purposes.
- Customer Service:
- Interacting professionally with customers to gather vehicle information and relay repair updates.
- Providing assistance and information to customers regarding automotive services and repairs.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
- Using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper procedures when handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.
