Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the motel, including guest check-ins and check-outs, room assignments, and maintenance.
- Ensure the motel is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Manage room inventory and pricing to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Guest Services:
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, addressing inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently.
- Ensure that guests have a positive experience and resolve any issues that arise during their stay.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise motel staff, including front desk clerks, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak and off-peak times.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the motel budget, including monitoring expenses and revenue.
- Handle cash and financial transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing daily reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Implement marketing strategies to attract and retain guests, including online and offline promotions.
- Manage online presence and reputation, including maintaining the motel’s website and social media profiles.
- Collaborate with travel agencies and other partners to drive bookings and increase visibility.
- Maintenance and Compliance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the motel’s facilities and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Customer Relations:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, local businesses, and the community.
- Gather and act on guest feedback to improve service quality and address any recurring issues.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Proven experience in a management role within the hospitality industry is preferred, with experience in motel or hotel operations a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with property management systems and reservation software.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in hospitality management or property management may be beneficial.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a motel environment, which may require standing for extended periods, working in various weather conditions, and handling physical tasks.
- May involve irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on guest needs and operational requirements.
