Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to the restaurant’s recipes and customer preferences.
- Stretch, shape, and top pizza dough with sauce, cheese, and various toppings.
- Operate pizza ovens, ensuring that pizzas are baked to perfection and meet quality standards.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure pizzas are consistently delicious.
- Assist in preparing other menu items, such as salads, appetizers, or side dishes, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regularly cleaning pizza ovens and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated according to food safety standards.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including handling food with clean hands and using proper storage methods.
- Take inventory of pizza ingredients and communicate when stock is low.
- Interact with other kitchen staff and work together to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as required, such as washing dishes, prepping ingredients, and cleaning.

- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen, particularly with pizza preparation or cooking, preferred.
- Ability to operate pizza ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders at once.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of different pizza styles (e.g., New York-style, Neapolitan, deep dish).
- Familiarity with a variety of pizza toppings, sauces, and crusts.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment.
