Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning products and equipment.
• Collect and dispose of trash and debris, ensuring proper waste management practices.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment and supplies for events or projects.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust surfaces; and clean windows as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting any damage or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Respond to urgent cleaning requests and special projects as directed by supervisors.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is in good working order.

Tasks

• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Disinfect operating rooms and other areas
• Clean and disinfect elevators
• Handle and report lost and found items
• Provide basic information on facilities
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings
• Clean changing rooms and showers
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or cleaning services preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.

Working Conditions:

• Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.
• May involve standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and working in potentially noisy environments.
