Key Responsibilities:

• Dishwashing: Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashers and by hand as needed.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that workstations, floors, and surfaces are free of debris and properly sanitized.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations, ensuring proper disposal methods are followed.
• Assisting Kitchen Staff: Support kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation and restocking supplies as necessary.
• Equipment Care: Operate dishwashing and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Compliance: Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

Tasks

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
• Place dishes in storage area
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
• Scour pots and pans

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not required.
• Skills:
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
