Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and train produce staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Schedule shifts and delegate tasks to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
  • Quality Control:
    • Monitor the quality and freshness of produce, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of products and displays, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory control to maintain stock levels and minimize waste.
    • Analyze sales trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
    • Create an inviting and attractive shopping experience through effective merchandising and displays.
  • Sales Goals:
    • Assist in achieving department sales targets and implementing promotional strategies.
    • Collaborate with management to develop and execute seasonal and special promotions.
  • Training and Development:
    • Train staff on proper handling, storage, and presentation of produce.
    • Encourage ongoing professional development and performance feedback.

  • Assign sales workers to duties
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff

  • Establish work schedules
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
