Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and train produce staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Schedule shifts and delegate tasks to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor the quality and freshness of produce, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of products and displays, addressing any issues promptly.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory control to maintain stock levels and minimize waste.
- Analyze sales trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Create an inviting and attractive shopping experience through effective merchandising and displays.
- Sales Goals:
- Assist in achieving department sales targets and implementing promotional strategies.
- Collaborate with management to develop and execute seasonal and special promotions.
- Training and Development:
- Train staff on proper handling, storage, and presentation of produce.
- Encourage ongoing professional development and performance feedback.
