Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Install electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and circuit breakers, according to blueprints and specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, troubleshooting issues and making necessary repairs.
• Inspection: Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical problems and provide effective solutions; replace faulty wiring, equipment, and fixtures as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure efficient project completion.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Tasks

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
• Install underground wiring and cables
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Splice, join and connect wires
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Connect power to audio and visual equipment
• Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Credentials

• Electrician Trade Certification

Qualifications:

• Certification: Valid electrician’s license and certification as required by local regulations.
• Experience: Previous experience as an electrician, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and codes.
• Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces, and to lift heavy objects.

Work Conditions:
