Key Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning: Clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Public Area Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of hotel lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Guest Requests: Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or services.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of cleaned rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
- Safety Practices: Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure smooth operations.
Tasks
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
- Dust furniture
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Make beds and change sheets
- Distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Stock linen closet
- Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for cleanliness and detail.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Work Conditions:
- May require flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Fast-paced environment with potential exposure to cleaning chemicals.
