Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the barber shop.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop.
  2. Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and manage barbers and support staff.
    • Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  3. Customer Service:
    • Ensure exceptional service quality to all clients.
    • Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally.
    • Develop and implement customer loyalty programs.
  4. Financial Management:
    • Manage shop budget and control expenses.
    • Prepare sales reports and analyze performance metrics.
    • Handle cash management and daily financial transactions.
  5. Marketing and Promotion:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers.
    • Promote special events, services, and products to clients.
    • Utilize social media platforms for marketing purposes.
  6. Inventory Management:
    • Order and maintain inventory of supplies and products.
    • Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  7. Community Engagement:
    • Build relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
    • Participate in community events and promotions.

Tasks

  • Establish or implement policies and procedures for staff
  • Plan and control budget and inventory
  • Manage contracts for advertising or marketing strategies
  • Hire, train and supervise staff
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

Supervision

  • 1 to 2 people

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the barbering or salon industry.
  • Valid barbering license (if applicable) and knowledge of current trends and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and financial management.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer software.
