Key Responsibilities:
- Masonry Construction:
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other materials according to specifications and blueprints.
- Construct walls, arches, and other structures, ensuring proper alignment and level.
- Surface Preparation:
- Prepare surfaces for masonry work by cleaning and leveling.
- Mix mortar and other materials to the appropriate consistency for use.
- Repair and Maintenance:
- Repair and restore existing brickwork and masonry structures.
- Replace damaged bricks and blocks as necessary.
- Blueprint Interpretation:
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Determine the necessary materials and quantities needed for projects.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all work meets local building codes and safety regulations.
- Perform regular inspections of completed work for quality assurance.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other construction professionals, including carpenters and general laborers.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and project managers regarding progress and challenges.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks

Qualifications:
