Key Responsibilities

  • Crop Harvesting: Efficiently harvest crops by hand or using specialized equipment, ensuring minimal damage to the plants and produce.
  • Quality Control: Inspect crops during harvesting to assess quality and ensure they meet required standards for size, ripeness, and condition.
  • Packing and Storing: Prepare harvested crops for storage or shipment, including packing them in boxes or containers and labeling them appropriately.
  • Field Maintenance: Assist with maintaining farm equipment and tools, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
  • Plant Care: Support planting, weeding, and other agricultural tasks as needed throughout the growing season.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of harvested quantities and any issues encountered during the harvesting process.
  • Safety Practices: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the fields and operating equipment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other farm workers and supervisors to complete harvesting tasks efficiently.
