Key Responsibilities
- Package Delivery: Safely and efficiently deliver packages, documents, and other items to designated locations, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition; report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking numbers, delivery confirmations, and any discrepancies; obtain signatures as required.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing any questions or concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving and handling packages; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Assist in loading and unloading packages from the vehicle, ensuring that items are handled safely and securely.
- Problem-Solving: Address any delivery issues or delays professionally, finding solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Tasks
- Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
- Professionalism in customer service
- Prepare, package and restock goods
- Load and unload goods
- Use maps and other trip planning aids
- Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
- Pay and receive payments for goods
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

Qualifications
