Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planting and Cultivating:
    • Prepare soil by tilling, fertilizing, and leveling fields.
    • Plant vegetable seeds or seedlings manually or using farm machinery.
    • Water and fertilize crops according to the farm’s schedule.
  2. Crop Maintenance:
    • Weed, thin, and prune crops to ensure healthy growth.
    • Monitor for pests and diseases, and report issues to the supervisor.
    • Install and maintain irrigation systems.
  3. Harvesting:
    • Harvest vegetables manually or with machinery at the appropriate time.
    • Sort and grade produce based on size, quality, and ripeness.
    • Pack vegetables into crates, baskets, or containers for transportation.
  4. Farm Maintenance:
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
    • Repair fences, trellises, and other farm structures as needed.
    • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery.
  5. Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow safety guidelines and use protective gear, such as gloves and boots.
    • Adhere to farm protocols for handling produce and equipment.
  6. Record-Keeping:
    • Document daily tasks, such as the number of crops planted, harvested, or packaged.
    • Report any issues or observations regarding crop health or farm operations.
