We are seeking a dedicated Beef Cattle Farm Worker to assist in the daily care and management of cattle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for feeding, monitoring animal health, maintaining farm equipment, and ensuring the well-being of the livestock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Feed and provide fresh water to cattle according to feeding schedules.
  • Monitor herd health, identify signs of illness or injury, and report issues to farm management.
  • Assist with calving, breeding, and herd management activities.
  • Operate and maintain farm equipment such as tractors, feeders, and fencing tools.
  • Move cattle safely between pastures, pens, or feeding areas.
  • Clean and maintain barns, water troughs, and feeding areas.
  • Assist in administering medications, vaccinations, and other veterinary treatments.
  • Follow farm safety procedures and biosecurity protocols.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Prior experience working with cattle or farm animals is an asset but not required.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of cattle behavior, feeding, and handling techniques.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or in a team.
  • Education: No formal education required; training will be provided.
  • License: A valid driver’s license or experience operating farm machinery is an advantage.
