We are seeking a highly responsible and experienced Security Guard Supervisor to oversee and manage a team of security guards. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and property, while supervising the security team to enforce policies, procedures, and protocols. The Security Guard Supervisor will maintain a strong presence, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with all security regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure effective coverage and security of the premises.
  • Ensure all security staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties efficiently and professionally.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activities, security breaches, and other safety hazards.
  • Enforce security policies, procedures, and emergency protocols to maintain a secure environment.
  • Review security logs and reports, ensuring accuracy and timely documentation of incidents, activities, and observations.
  • Respond to emergencies, incidents, or disturbances, providing guidance to security staff and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when needed.
  • Perform regular inspections of security equipment (e.g., surveillance cameras, alarms, etc.) to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Provide leadership and direction to security team members, including resolving conflicts, providing feedback, and fostering a positive working environment.
  • Develop and maintain security schedules, ensuring that appropriate staffing levels are met at all times.
  • Conduct security briefings and training sessions for new and existing staff.
  • Work closely with management to assess security risks, improve safety measures, and implement preventive strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and industry regulations related to security and safety.
  • Maintain good relationships with clients, visitors, and other staff members, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Investigate and document security incidents, conducting internal investigations when necessary.
  • Prepare and submit detailed security reports to senior management.

  • Prepare and submit progress and other reports
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Supervise operation of mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
  • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
  • Wash or dry-clean industrial or household articles

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Security Guard, with at least [X] years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, law enforcement procedures, and emergency response strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to use security technology and equipment (e.g., surveillance systems, alarm systems, radios).
  • Knowledge of local and federal security regulations and laws.
  • Valid security officer license or certification (requirements may vary by location).
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in security for specific industries (e.g., corporate, retail, healthcare, government).
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects when necessary.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions (e.g., indoors/outdoors, varying weather).
