We are looking for a skilled and meticulous tire repairer to join our automotive service team. The tire repairer will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining tires on various vehicles, ensuring safety and optimal performance for our customers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tire repair techniques and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect tires for damage, wear, or punctures.
  • Determine the appropriate repair method based on the extent of damage and industry standards.
  • Perform tire repairs such as patching punctures, repairing cuts, and replacing valves.
  • Mount and balance tires on vehicles using appropriate equipment.
  • Rotate and align tires to ensure even wear and proper vehicle handling.
  • Inflate tires to recommended pressures.
  • Maintain accurate records of tire repairs and services performed.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines while handling tires and using repair equipment.
  • Assist customers with tire-related inquiries and recommend appropriate products or services.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a tire repairer or in a similar automotive service role.
  • Knowledge of tire repair techniques and equipment (e.g., tire patches, tire changers, balancers).
  • Familiarity with tire brands, sizes, and specifications.
  • Ability to lift heavy tires and maneuver them safely.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tire inspection and repair.
  • Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive repair is a plus.

Skills:

  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Problem-solving skills to diagnose tire issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet service deadlines.
  • Customer service orientation and professionalism.

Work Environment:

  • Automotive repair shop environment.
  • Exposure to noise, odors, and various weather conditions (if working outdoors).
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses.
