 Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and determine the best course of action for repair.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes to plan and execute plumbing installations.
  • Inspect and test plumbing systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Provide estimates and consult with clients to discuss plumbing needs and options.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure knowledge of the latest technologies and techniques.

Tasks

  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Plumber with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and techniques.
  • Valid plumbing license and/or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in plumbing work.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and tools.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and on-call shifts as needed.
