Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling:
- Load and unload materials and products from delivery trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Move inventory to and from storage locations and staging areas according to operational needs and warehouse layout.
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Inventory Management:
- Organize and store materials and goods in designated areas to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels and locations.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and labeling products according to order specifications.
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and adhere to all safety protocols related to material handling and equipment operation.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Pick and pack orders according to customer requirements and shipping schedules.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure that all items are correctly prepared for shipment.
- Cleanliness and Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including clearing away debris and managing waste materials.
- Ensure that aisles, storage areas, and equipment are kept tidy and free of hazards.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and management to achieve operational goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Communicate clearly with team members regarding inventory levels, order status, and any issues encountered during material handling.

Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is desirable but not required.
- Skills: Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Certifications: Certification for operating forklifts or other material handling equipment may be required depending on the warehouse.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to material handling.
- Comfort with working in varying warehouse conditions, including temperature fluctuations and exposure to noise.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- The role may involve working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the operational needs of the facility.
