As an apprentice roofer, you will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced roofers to learn the skills and techniques required for roofing installation, repair, and maintenance. This position offers hands-on training and practical experience in the roofing trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with Roofing Projects: Work alongside experienced roofers to assist in the installation, repair, or replacement of various types of roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and tiles.
  2. Material Preparation: Prepare roofing materials and tools for installation, ensuring they are ready and accessible for the job. Assist in loading and unloading materials at the job site.
  3. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  4. Learn Roofing Techniques: Learn and apply basic roofing techniques such as measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing materials. Gain proficiency in using hand tools and power tools under supervision.
  5. Clean-Up and Maintenance: Assist in cleaning up debris and waste materials from the work site. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition by cleaning and storing them properly.
  6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members to complete roofing projects on schedule and to high-quality standards. Follow instructions from lead roofers and supervisors.
  7. Professional Development: Continuously learn and improve roofing skills through on-the-job training and participation in educational opportunities provided by the company or industry associations.

Qualifications:
