Key Responsibilities:

Examine children regularly to assess their growth and development

Diagnose and treat illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health conditions

Administer vaccinations and monitor immunization schedules

Provide guidance to parents on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Refer patients to specialists when necessary

Stay updated with the latest medical technologies and pediatric practices

Create a child-friendly environment that reduces stress and anxiety
Qualifications:
-
Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) with specialization in Pediatrics
-
Valid medical license and board certification in Pediatrics
-
Proven experience as a pediatrician or in a pediatric clinic/hospital
-
Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
-
Patience, compassion, and a love for working with children
Tasks
- Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders
- May conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
- Prescribe medication and treatment
- Refer patients for surgery
- Treat diseases and physiological disorders
- Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
- Act as consultants to other physicians
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
Credentials
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
- Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
