As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise or materials. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and providing training and guidance. Foster a positive team atmosphere and promote teamwork and collaboration.
  2. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements using inventory management systems. Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical inventory to maintain accuracy.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Ensure efficient workflow and optimize warehouse layout to maximize storage capacity and productivity. Implement process improvements and best practices to streamline operations.
  4. Shipping and Receiving: Oversee receiving and shipping operations, including inspecting incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.
  5. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain product integrity and ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately. Address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly.
  6. Health and Safety: Enforce safety guidelines and procedures to create a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  7. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipping and receiving activities, and warehouse performance metrics. Generate reports and analyze data to monitor operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.

Supervision

  • 5-10 people

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar managerial role in logistics or distribution.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics processes.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) safely.

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
