Key Responsibilities:
- Package Pickup and Delivery
- Pick up packages and goods from assigned locations and deliver them to clients or other designated locations.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within the agreed-upon timeframes.
- Verify that each delivery is accurate and complete, checking for discrepancies in addresses or package contents.
- Use delivery management software or GPS to optimize delivery routes and ensure efficient transportation.
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients upon arrival for deliveries or pickups.
- Address any client questions or concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required and provide customers with necessary receipts or documentation.
- Report any issues or concerns with deliveries (e.g., damaged goods, incorrect address) to the appropriate team members.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
- Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and organized condition, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., delivery forms, hand trucks, etc.).
- Perform routine checks on the vehicle, including tire pressure, oil levels, and fuel, and report any mechanical issues.
- Ensure that the vehicle complies with all safety regulations, and practice safe driving habits at all times.
- Adhere to all local traffic laws and delivery schedules to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.
- Documentation and Record Keeping
- Accurately document deliveries, including addresses, delivery times, and any special instructions or changes.
- Keep track of delivery receipts, invoices, or any other necessary paperwork and submit them promptly at the end of the shift.
- Update delivery status and log any incidents, delays, or issues that may impact service quality.
- Route Planning and Time Management
- Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delays, taking into account factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and delivery deadlines.
- Organize packages in the vehicle to ensure easy access and efficient unloading.
- Manage time effectively to meet scheduled delivery times and optimize daily routes.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Standards
- Follow all company procedures for safe handling of goods and packages.
- Ensure that deliveries comply with health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of hazardous or perishable items if applicable.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the delivery vehicle.

- Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products

Required Qualifications:
- Education:

- Experience:

- Ability to operate delivery vehicles (e.g., vans, trucks, or motorcycles) safely and efficiently.
- Good knowledge of local streets, routes, and traffic patterns.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (depending on the job).
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (checking oil, tire pressure, etc.).
- Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry packages, sometimes up to 50 lbs or more, depending on the nature of the deliveries.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving and perform repetitive tasks.
