The Employment Coach works directly with individuals to help them find and maintain sustainable employment. This role involves providing guidance, support, and coaching to job seekers to develop the skills, confidence, and strategies needed to successfully navigate the job market. The Employment Coach also works with clients on building resumes, preparing for interviews, and understanding job-related expectations.

 Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Job Search Assistance:

    • Guide individuals in identifying suitable job opportunities based on their skills, experience, and career interests.

    • Teach job seekers how to search for jobs effectively, including how to use job boards, company websites, and networking.

    • Provide ongoing support as individuals submit applications, follow up with employers, and refine job search strategies.

  • Resume and Cover Letter Support:

    • Assist clients in creating or updating resumes and writing tailored cover letters for specific job applications.

    • Offer feedback and coaching on how to highlight transferable skills and experience.

  • Interview Preparation:

    • Conduct mock interviews to help clients practice their interview skills, including answering common questions and showcasing their strengths.

    • Offer advice on interview etiquette, body language, and how to handle difficult or behavioral questions.

  • Career Counseling:

    • Provide personalized career guidance based on the individual’s goals, interests, and capabilities.

    • Help individuals identify transferable skills and potential career paths, and advise on any additional training or education they may need.

  • Job Readiness and Skill Development:

    • Assess clients’ job readiness, including soft skills like communication, time management, and problem-solving.

    • Recommend professional development courses or workshops that can enhance clients’ job prospects.

  • Employer Networking:

    • Build relationships with employers and organizations to connect clients with job opportunities.

    • Collaborate with local businesses to understand their hiring needs and assist them in finding suitable candidates.

  • Ongoing Support and Follow-up:

    • Provide continuous coaching to job seekers throughout the hiring process, offering emotional support and motivation.

    • Follow up with clients after they have secured a job to ensure their transition is successful and to offer support if needed.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Keep accurate records of client progress, job search activities, and placement outcomes.

    • Prepare and submit reports as required to track outcomes and success metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in career counseling, coaching, or workforce development.

  • Strong knowledge of the job search process, including resume writing, interviewing, and professional networking.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Empathy, patience, and a strong desire to help others succeed.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in using job search platforms and other career development resources.

Physical Requirements:
