Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of farm staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Provide guidance and support to farm workers, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor staff performance and address any issues or conflicts that arise.
- Agricultural Operations:
- Oversee daily farming activities such as planting, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting.
- Ensure that all agricultural practices are performed according to best practices and farm standards.
- Monitor crop health and take appropriate actions to manage pests, diseases, and other issues.
- Equipment and Facility Management:
- Manage the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery, ensuring that they are in good working condition.
- Oversee the upkeep of farm buildings, infrastructure, and other facilities.
- Ensure that equipment and facilities are maintained according to safety and operational standards.
- Inventory and Resource Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other farm supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers for the purchase and delivery of necessary resources.
- Keep accurate records of inventory, usage, and expenses.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all farm activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions for staff.
- Farm Planning and Reporting:
- Assist in developing and implementing farm plans and schedules to meet production goals.
- Prepare and maintain reports on farm activities, including production levels, labor costs, and equipment usage.
- Analyze farm performance data and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Customer and Market Interaction:
- Assist with the marketing and sale of farm products, including direct sales, farmers’ markets, or distribution to buyers.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to farm products.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identify and address problems related to crop management, equipment malfunctions, or staff performance.
- Develop and implement solutions to overcome challenges and improve farm operations.

Qualifications:
