Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Installations:
- Work alongside experienced installers to assist in the installation of fireplaces, including wood-burning, gas, and electric models.
- Help with the preparation and setup of installation sites, including measuring, cutting, and fitting components.
- Assist in the assembly and installation of fireplace units, vents, and flues according to manufacturer specifications and building codes.
- Learning and Training:
- Participate in on-the-job training to learn about various types of fireplaces, installation techniques, and safety procedures.
- Study and understand installation manuals, building codes, and safety regulations related to fireplace installation.
- Attend any required training sessions or workshops to improve skills and knowledge in the field.
- Tools and Equipment:
- Handle and operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including drills, saws, and measuring devices.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing routine checks and cleaning as needed.
- Site Preparation and Clean-Up:
- Prepare job sites by laying down protective coverings, removing old units, and preparing surfaces for new installations.
- Clean up work areas after installations, including disposing of any debris and ensuring the site is left in a tidy condition.
- Customer Service:
- Assist in addressing customer questions or concerns related to the installation process.
- Ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow proper handling and installation procedures to comply with local building codes and regulations.

Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in construction, mechanical work, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- No prior experience in fireplace installation necessary; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and power tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
